Their Words

Heartfelt Connections & Wild Memories

Every review we receive begins with the same sentiment: "I did not expect to be this moved." That is the Feral Eclipse effect — and it is why our returning client rate exceeds 60%.

These are unedited accounts from real travellers. We share them not to sell you something, but to give you an honest picture of what to expect when you step into the eclipse.

The adventure we went on was beyond what we had imagined. Witnessing the Great Migration from our private vehicle felt like the whole spectacle had been arranged just for us. Feral Eclipse does not just plan trips — they change how you see the world.

The Great Migration, Serengeti

“A truly breathtaking adventure. Every moment was perfectly balanced — the action and intensity of each game drive, the quiet intimacy of the camp at night. This is exactly how an African safari should feel.”

“All the notes on the reviews of Feral Eclipse are painfully accurate — they are brilliant. We had them plan and execute our honeymoon and they handled every single detail with grace and creativity.”

“There is something absolutely humbling about standing on Kilimanjaro's summit. Our guide James made us feel safe and capable every step of the way. The preparation, the camps, the daily briefings — everything was extraordinary.”

“We have done safari with other operators before. Nothing compares. The level of knowledge our guide had — plants, birds, tracking, stars — turned a wildlife drive into a masterclass in the African ecosystem.”

“Feral Eclipse arranged our corporate incentive trip for 12 guests. The logistics were flawless, the experiences were world-class, and everyone left changed. We will be back next year without question.”

Common Questions

Planning Your Safari

Tanzania offers exceptional wildlife year-round, but the dry seasons (June–October and January–February) are generally considered optimal. June–October brings the Great Migration river crossings in the north; January–February is calving season. Our specialists will match your window to the right location.
We provide a comprehensive packing guide after booking. Essentials include neutral-coloured clothing (avoid blue and black — tsetse flies are attracted to dark colours), a quality telephoto lens if you enjoy photography, sun protection, and any prescription medications. We handle everything else.
Absolutely. Some of our most rewarding experiences are family safaris. We typically recommend children aged 6+ for game drives and 10+ for walking safaris. We tailor the pace, camp choice, and activities entirely around your family's needs and ages.
All Feral Eclipse guides carry satellite communication devices, first aid kits, and pulse oximeters (on Kilimanjaro). We maintain 24/7 contact with a support team in Arusha and have established relationships with AMREF's Flying Doctors service for medical evacuations. Your safety is our first priority, always.
